My Favourite Books of 2015 and Why
10 Weirdo's War by Michael Coleman
A pleasant surprise, a good boys-will-be-boys story; the characters were very layered, the writing was psychological and the ending was pretty intense.

9 North of Nowhere by Liz Kessler
This book had really likeable protagonists, a sense of mystery and a huge twist!

8 Five Kingdoms: Sky Raiders by Brandon Mull
Amazing world-building! This book is fun and imaginative and the characters were really believable. Does fantasy get any more epic than this?!

7 Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan
Okay, maybe it does!

 6 Holes by Louis Sachar
Another good boys-will-be-boys story that proves that you don't need big words for big emotion.

5 The Children's Crusade by Henry Treece
This was just a HUGE story! Why don't we study this in history lessons?

4 Torchwood: Trace Memory by David Llwellyn
This book was pretty scary and had the first gay romance I've read. With so many gay romance books out there, a Torchwood novel may seem an odd place to start, but I really felt for it!

 3 The Child's Elephant by Rachel Campbell-Jonston
This book has some of the most beautiful, poetic writing I've ever read!

 2 Doctor Who: Shining Darkness by Mark Michalowski;
This was as funny and imaginative as Douglas Adams!

 Honourable Mentions
The Scales of Injustice by Gary Russell, Silverfin by Charlie Higson, Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor, The Secret of Platform 13 by Eva Ibbotson, The Silver Sword by Ian Seraillier, Carrie's War by Nina Bawden, Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. Obrien, Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer, Alfred Hitchcock's Ghostly Gallery and Carrie by Stephen King.

 MY BEST BOOK OF 2015!
1 Waiting For Anya by Michael Morpurgo
I actually cried at this one.
